The Department of Anesthesiology and Surgical Intensive Care Medicine consists of a team of over 50 doctors and more than 75 qualified nurses working in the operating room and intensive care unit. The clinic is responsible for the anesthesiological care of all surgical clinics in the outpatient and inpatient areas as well as in interventional radiology and the ZNA. The interdisciplinary surgical intensive care unit with 23 fully equipped treatment places is under the management of the clinic and offers all methods of modern intensive care medicine including extracorporeal organ replacement procedures. A weaning ward with nine ventilation beds is also part of the clinic.
